Creation Care SG Talk

Date: Monday, 31 August, 2015
Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Venue: 420 North Bridge Road #05-04 North Bridge Center Singapore 188727
Theme: Exploring Triple Bottom-Line Sustainability and Christian Stewardship
Speakers: Dr Chew Wee

 Synopsis:

Climate change and popularised sustainability concepts are urgent matters in the 21st century globalised world. How does the larger mission of God (missio Dei) relate to the secular ideology of sustainability? Is there a gap between what is central in our Christian faith and secular views such as these? In this post-conference session, the intersections between the theology of Christian Stewardship and the often talked about business model of Triple Bottom-Line Sustainability is explored. The intention is to generate discussions and further explorations of how Christians from all spheres canplay a part as salt and light; in bringing about positive impacts to society and a world that is needing more than sustainable solutions- a wholistic gospel message that brings about love, healing and salvation to the whole world.
