This 2012 science fiction movie is presented as a prequel to the space horror movies of "Alien"(1979), "Aliens" (1986), "Alien 3" (1992) and "Alien Resurrection" (1997). Directed by Ridley Scott, the storyline is set in the late 21st century with the crew of the spaceship Prometheus. Following a star-map in search of the origins of humanity, the crew finds on a distant world, not just a more advanced alien species who may be the original humans, but also their biological weapon designed to destroy humankind when it reaches Earth.
